While you may choose to bring your child when you prefer, we only offer full-time tuition rates for all of our programs within our facility.
Your payment confirmation notice is confirmation you are on the active wait list. No other notice will be provided.
We utilize an internal waitlist-tracking tool. Please contact our office at 317-274-3508 to learn your place on the waitlist.
The application includes a section for multiple children; however, waitlist application fee of $25 is required for each child.
No action is required. If you are still waiting for placement, your application will automatically move to the next age group’s waitlist on your child’s birthday.
High quality infant and toddler care is generally in high demand. We typically have an extensive waitlist for this group. While it is difficult to predict the wait time you may experience, it is not unusual to have some wait times of a year or more.
Within each age group, the applications are prioritized as follows:
- Sibling families
- IU Indianapolis employees/students/faculty
- Affiliate employees
- General public
Within each of these groups, the waitlist is prioritized by the date of your paid application. A child on the waitlist automatically moves to the next age group upon each birthday.
No, we do not have a reduced rate or sliding scale. However, we accept and support the following state-sponsored voucher programs. State vouchers are awarded based on need and household income.

Each of our teachers develops a play-based curriculum that is built from Indiana’s Early Learning Foundations framework. The Foundations framework includes: English/language arts, mathematics, social emotional skills, approaches to play and learning, science, social studies, creative arts, and physical health and growth.
Yes, you will need to provide medical documentation of your child’s food allergy. Chartwell’s Dining, our campus food service provider will work to create an alternative meal plan for your child to avoid those particular allergens. As a note, we are a nut-free facility.
Yes, there is another fee beyond tuition and the initial enrollment fee. We charge an annual supply fee. The fee is $150 for children two and under and $250 for children ages 3 – 5.
The majority of our teaching staff hold post-secondary degrees within education and/ or early childhood education. See our teacher bio’s page for more information.
Both programs develop a curriculum that focuses on kindergarten readiness in all areas of discipline. Multi-Age classrooms have children ranging in ages 3 to 5 for a total of 20 children per classroom. The STEM classrooms have children who are 4 or 5 years old with up to 24 total children per classroom. STEM classrooms introduce a more structured and focused curriculum related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through the use technology and guest instructors or collaborators from IU Indianapolis STEM departments.
Formal language services are not available for children who do not speak any English.
Our teachers create a welcoming environment that respects diversity and they work to promote second language acquisition and to preserve the child’s home language. They develop a few key words or phrases in the native language and incorporate the use of pictures to support English language development.
